Homeschooling in Phenix City

Thank you for your interest in Golden Acres Christian School. This unique ministry is available to Alabama homeschooling families regardless of church affiliation. Our school provides compliance with Alabama homeschooling laws with minimal academic requirements. We are a ministry of Golden Acres Baptist Church.
2011-2012 Enrollment
If you are enrolled with Golden Acres this year, you be able to apply for next year by mail. Registration Forms may be turned in along with your Second Semester Progress Reports and Attendance Reports. We must have all reports from the 2010-2011 school year before we can process your new application. Applications for the 2011-2012 school year will be emailed and or mailed to each family during the month of May. We will begin processing those re-enrollment applications as soon as they are received. WE MUST RECEIVE YOUR REGISTRATION BEFORE JUNE 15TH IF YOU PLAN TO STAY ENROLLED AT GOLDEN ACRES.
Tuition will be the same cost as last year, $40 per family. Your enrollment at Golden Acres Christian School will include a FREE membership to Homeschool Legal Advantage. It doesn't require any extra paperwork and they have even offered to make a free last will and testament for each family. Another perk, they will send each family a printed membership ID card.
New applicants to Golden Acres Christian School will be able to apply starting June 16, 2011. Registration forms will be available on the forms page. Each applicant will need to include a Registration Form, Disclaimer, Record Release and a $40 payment. Applications will be processed on a first come, first served basis. Submit application by dropping off at the church office between 9 am-4 pm Monday-Friday or by mail to 3405 S. Railroad St., Phenix City, AL 36867. We do have a limited number of openings for new families. Each applicant will be contacted in writing about their admission status.
Fall Parent Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 7 pm ESTat Golden Acres Baptist Church. This is our only mandatory meeting of the year. One parent must attend. More details about this meeting will be included in admission notification letters.
Reports
Any GACS forms may be printed from the new Forms webpage. Just click on the link to print any Attendance Reports or Progress Reports. End of year reports must be turned in before enrollment for next year will be accepted. Late reports are subject to a $10 fine. First Semester reports are due by January 15th. Second Semester reports are due by June 15th.
